The
Administrative Council of the university is an essential body responsible for
decision-making and coordination. It is established to manage the university’s
administrative, financial, and executive (day-to-day) affairs in an effective
and organized manner.

council is headed by the Chancellor of the university and includes the
vice-chancellors, faculty deans, and administrative staff. The council
supervises the implementation of policies and administrative decisions, and it
also oversees the university’s executive operations.

council plays an important role in managing the university’s financial and
administrative resources effectively. Overall, the Administrative Council is a
key component in ensuring that the university operates and develops in a
well-organized manner.
Duties and Responsibilities of the
Administrative Council
1.
Discuss,
advise, and make decisions regarding the university’s budget, including its
planning, analysis, and review.
2.
Create
mechanisms for the effective use, control, and monitoring of all university
resources.
3.
Make
decisions regarding changes to the organizational structure of the
administrative departments and their resource needs.
4.
Approve
and evaluate procurement plans, processes, contracts, and purchases.
5.
Review
and provide feedback on financial and administrative reports (monthly,
quarterly, and annual).
6.
Recommend
actions to improve transparency in resource management, accountability
(reporting), and quality of work.
7.
Make
decisions regarding hiring, support capacity building of human resources, and
evaluate development plans.
8.
Assess
the implementation of financial and administrative instructions issued by the
Ministry of Higher Education.
9.
Evaluate
the university’s internal control systems and make necessary decisions and
recommendations in this regard.
10. Provide facilities and support for
the modernization of all university systems and processes.
11. Make final decisions regarding
administrative staff, including appointment, promotion, retirement, and
dismissal.
12. Provide necessary advice and
guidance on the university’s income and expenditures.
13. Make decisions on innovative ways to
increase the university’s income.
Perform other duties as specified in higher
education legal documents or assigned by the Chancellor.
